Jen, Jay and the sugar bush love

So Jen and Jay are getting married! I'm super pumped for this wedding! 
1) Jen & I went to school together (Walsh PS & SCS!) 
2) She's a sweet heart
3) He loves her to pieces

Jen you are going to be a beautiful bride and you have a handsom groom! 

Also I ventured up to Exeter to take these photos with them! "The home of the White Squirrel" and I saw one, honestly thought it was a plastic bag at first! (Nope!) We went to Jay's family farm which has the 'sugar bush'. Maple syrup mmmm... So many textures, so many trees and luckily there was no rain! (It was pouring in Norfolk and everywhere else right up until Exeter)

This adorable couple is getting married in July 2013 in Delhi.

Erin & Steve are Engaged!

I would love you all to meet Erin & Steve! 

They are the latest couple to sign up for the Blackbird Photography wedding experience! 
Their wedding is in June of 2013, and I cannot wait to be there on their big day!

Family photos and the fall are meant to be. 

For the awesome colours on the trees, the coziness of sweaters and the fact that group shots keep everyone warm..haha!

Now the vineyard was a little less than perky thanks to the heavy frost the night before, so we opted to take photos around the property.
There was an old barn, tobacco kiln, and a pretty neat tree/rock combo.

October Equals Madness

This month is just flying by! Every single weekend is/was booked (yay!) with engagements, maternity or family photo sessions.

They went to a beach, for a date. He was romantic and brought a wine bottle.
There was a message in this bottle...

"Will you marry me?" was written on an aged piece of paper  "Yes, No, Sure."

Grand Opening Photos!

Grand Opening

Well if you have seen my facebook page or twitter feed, you would know that I've been busy working away on my brick and mortar location! (Eep! That's right!)

Blackbird has a proper nest!

And I'm having a grand opening on this upcoming Thursday (the 20th) so please do come out & join in on the photo booth, meet & greets, and from what I know; there will be some sweets too!

The Mad Hatter's Engagement

As an artsy kind of gal, I get super excited when I meet a couple who are also artistic and fun to be around.
Take Natalie and Eric for example, two love birds, who share many things in common, one of those is their love for classic books, and Burton movies. Well how about have a themed engagement along the lines of
Alice in Wonderland? Heck yeah!
We went to work, or should I say play...

Their wedding is in June 2012 & I cannot wait to see the Mad Hatter & Alice say "I do"

Alex and Little Brother Liam

These little cuties are my second cousins, of which I love very very much. I'm so happy that I can take photos of them. Alex is a budding photographer too, hahah. Always trying to take photos with my camera key chain, "Cheese!"
Liam of course is a little young for that, but he was not impressed with getting his photo taken. Luckily I did get a few curious looks from him, as he was munching on his sleeve.

Autumn

Autumn, I have a love hate relationship with you. I love the colours, I love the wardrobe that I get to wear, love the overcast days for photos. But what I hate is the fact that it's dark by 7pm, cold and wet and dark and cold and wet. Get my point?

Movember

Well as you may or may not know it is Movember, (mustache + November). Its to raise awareness for prostate cancer which is a scary thing. It has hit my family, my grandpa actually, but good thing is that he is in remission! It did take a huge emotional chunk out of our entire family, as it does to many other families who have to fight this horrid cancer. So I decided to post about Movember as it is highly important for men, (and if they try to avoid the doctor, their wife or better half)make them  to get an appointment!
